​​Healing Words Foundation was founded in Brookings, SD, by Richard P. Holm, M.D., and Joanie Holm, CNP, in 2011. ​​

Our Goals
  • ​Identify and prioritize health informational needs of the public
  • Diminish suffering and enhance health by providing for these ends using public media health education
  • Recognize superb professional resources to provide this information
  • Ensuring the information provided is scientifically verifiable, understandable, and as interesting as possible.
  • Maximize the distribution of this information by an appropriate and effective media to reach the targeted audience
  • Make every attempt within reason not to cause harm with this information
  • Respect the autonomy of our audience and the right of each individual to question or disagree
